Doing Business in a Postgrowth Society

Disappointing article from the HBR titled Doing Business in a Postgrowth Society.  Instead of the usual thought provoking insights and leading edge ideas, this article was the typical drivel that distills down to the two classic concepts: 1. Business, markets and growth are bad.  2. Trees, bunny rabbits, and subsidies are good.

I am all for finding new and sustainable ways of doing business and in fact, I often wonder if we just have not given Marx’s theory on the pending implosion of capitalism enough time prove out, but this article was just a rehash of the same concepts in a more expensive magazine.  With all due respect to the distinguished professor from Yale, please, tell us something new.
